Player participation is mandatory. Players that do not evaluate will still be eligible to play baseball but will not be entered into the draft. Players that do not attend evaluations will be placed on a team by the board after the teams are selected.

This map shows the boundaries for Lumberton (Green), West Robeson, Fairmont, and Red Springs. While LYBA baseball is open to anyone up to age 12, players who live or attend school in the green zone are eligible to participate in post season events such as Dixie Youth All-Stars.

MAJOR BAT CHANGE RULE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2018
Effective January 1, 2018, all 2 5/8” bats and 2 1/4” bats must meet new performance standards established by USA Baseball, the national governing body of amateur baseball in the United States. The new bats became available for purchase on September 1, 2017.
